Welcome to the Biological Stain Commission
The primary function of the Biological Stain Commission, as a non-profit organization, is to test biological stains to ensure their high quality. The BSC Assay Laboratory has tested stains for over 100 years. The Commission promotes education in the use of biological stains with its Biotechnic and Histochemistry Journal and published books and provides a forum for presentation of novel uses of stains at its BSC Annual Meeting.

2026 Update
Our 45th Annual Meeting is now in the books. The NSH Convention proved to be a great venue for getting the word out. Over 100 people signed up to receive more information, and audience for our final talk in the morning was standing room only! More details will be forthcoming soon.
