BSC Certification Sample Submission Form

BSC Certification and Testing of biological stains guidelines:
Samples must be in bottles labelled with the dye name, lot number, BSC Certification code*, and company name. This information must match the information submitted on this form. Samples are required to be bottled in archive quality amber glass bottles no larger and 1.5" wide and 2" tall for all samples and suggested as small as 1” wide by 2” tall for 5 gram samples. If the sample can't meet these requirements, then select "Bottle Fee" from Additional Services below*

• Certification requires two 10g samples. A Certification takes 4-6 weeks to complete. Adding an “Expedited Service” will prioritize testing which is generally completed in 2-3 weeks.
• Recertification requires only one 10g sample. A Recertification takes about 2 weeks to complete. Adding an “Expedited Service” will prioritize testing which is generally completed in 1 week.
• Experimental or Other Testing requires only one 5g sample. Testing times vary based on the amount of testing required. For Experimental only: adding an “Expedited Service” will have these samples prioritized along with certification samples.

SHIPPING: Be sure to tape or seal the lids of the sample bottles before packaging. Loose lids will remove themselves during shipping. Place bottles in a plastic containment bag and pack in the shipping container with ample material to prevent movement during shipping. Plastic bags of dye can be mailed if there is triple containment of the material and it is properly packaged accordingly to ensure no breaches of containment. Be sure to select the Bottle Fee for these samples.
